When engaging reverse instead of getting a short single beep from the parking sensors I get a longer continuous beep which I now realise is telling me the sensors aren’t functioning. The MK3 Mondeo had a built in beep code which identified what sensor was faulty, unfortunatley with the MK4 you have to pay to get them diagnosed. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes I get the continuous error beep. Would anyone know off hand if this is a sensor issue in the rear bumper, or the module itself? Thanks for any input Mar 4, 2012 · You might want to visually check each sensor for debris or damage other than that it's probably water ingress in one of the connectors. (Getting my moneys worth out of this free forum today!). All of the sudden the beep-beeping has stopped amd I just get a continuous tone which is different very annoying and distracting.
